Spring League 2012

Features and Enhancements
League increased to 8 weeks allowing it to be claimed for the Children's Fitness Tax Credit (those 16 or younger)
Enhanced to incorporate more player skill development and coach development (at no additional cost)
2 or 3 Optional weekend clinics put on by SMBA Technical Directors
Cost is $90 (Includes your own SMBA reversible jersey)
Cost is $70 (For a player that has a Spring League reversible)
Late fee is $25 for fees received after February 21, 2012
No player will be guaranteed a spot after February 21, 2012
The last day to register is March 5, 2012
All coaches must have a criminal check to coach in the SMBA. Those coaches that coached in the winter session will not have to have one completed. The fee will be covered by the SMBA. Please do not go down to the police station until you have been assigned a team or you will have to pay the cost for the check.

There will also be a coaching clinic on Sunday April 1, 2012 that will be mandatory for all coaches that do not have a course from the SMBA or NCPP to attend.
Jerseys can be picked up at the coaches meeting/clinic on April 1, 2012.
Pick up between 12 noon and 1 PM
Location: Walter Murray boys gym from 10 am - 12 noon and 1 pm until 4 pm
Divisions of Play
There are Boys and Girls Teams For the Following Age Groups:
- Monday and Wednesday Tuesday and Thursday
- (Juvenile) Grade 10 and 11 girls Grade 10 and 11 boys
- (Midget) Grade 8 and 9 boys Grade 8 and 9 girls
- (Bantam) Grade 6 and 7 girls Grade 6 and 7 boys
- (Mini) Grade 4 and 5 boys Grade 4 and 5 girls

SMBA Refund Policy:
Prior to the start of the program the registration fees will be refunded less a $20 administrative charge. There will be no refund once the program starts.
KidSport Funding:
Those who have financial concerns may apply to Zone 6 Sports Council to access Kidsport funding. Go to their web site for a application form.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THEY WILL NOT FUND A PLAYER'S JERSEY NOR WILL THEY FUND BASKETBALL CAMPS
